The Types of Hypnosis

The following types of hypnosis are in common use today.
They may be referred to by many other terms, but all are
hypnosis or use hypnosis in one form or another.

  • Group Hypnosis
    (Hetero-Hypnosis of groups of more than 2 subjects at the same time)

The Best Subjects for Hypnosis are:

  • Subjects who want to be hypnotized and expect to be hypnotized.
  • The best hypnotic subjects are intelligent and without mental impairment.
  • The best stage hypnosis subjects are usually physically Suggestable
  • (They are persons who have a subconscious desire to perform).

Remember that all subjects must be
willing before they can be hypnotized.

Who can be hypnotized ?

  • Everyone can go into hypnosis to some degree
  • 95% will go into a light to medium hypnotic state the very first time
  • 5% may have difficulty entering hypnosis
    (too young, senile, have brain damage, or no attention span, etc.)
  • (Adults) 70% may go to deep levels of hypnosis the first time
